There are a couple of reasons for receiving the “No base” message on your iClicker 2 remote or a red light on the original iClicker or iClicker + remotes.

  1. Make sure that you are set to the same frequency that your instructor is using. This is the most common cause of the "No base" message. The instructions are on the back of your remote.

You can only change your frequency once a session has begun.
  2. Make sure the polling session has already started. You will not be able to vote until the polling session has started.

If none of these steps correct your issue, your iClicker remote may be damaged. The iClicker remote has a one year warranty.  Contact the manufacture for more information.
