All UAlbany students, faculty, and staff using the UAlbany WiFi wireless service (UAlbanyWiFi) on campus can configure their laptops to send print jobs to any UniPrint printer.

How does UniPrint work?

You will need to install a printer queue on your laptop. The printer queue will enable you to send print file requests to the UniPrint server for page counting and pricing. To pick up your print job, you will go to the UniPrint station at the location you selected, swipe your SUNYCard in the card reader, select your document, and press Print.

The University Libraries will charge a UAlbany ID Card 10 cents per page for B/W print jobs or 50 cents per page when using a color printer. There is no additional fee charged for wireless print jobs.

You can send print jobs from your dorm, apartment, or other off-campus locations if you connect via VPN before printing. Install the VPN client, connect, open your document, print, then go to the library to release and print the document.

Documents sent for printing, but not printed, will expire from the print queues after two hours.
