  • Updating Windows 10 to Version 1909 on Campus

These instructions apply to University-owned computers. For personal computers, please see Updating Windows and macOS on Personally-owned Equipment.
  • This may take 90 minutes or longer to complete, so ITS recommends starting the process at the end of your workday.
  • As with any update, be sure your files are backed up before installing the Windows 10 version 1909 update
  1. Select the Start button

  2. Begin typing "Software Center" and left click on the App when it appears.

  3. Once Software Center opens, click on the Updates tab.

  4. Left click the update ITS – OSD – Update to Windows 10 1909 to install:


  5. Click the Install button on the following screen.

  6. A warning window will appear. Click the Install button.

  7. An Installation Status bar should appear, confirming the update is taking place.

  8. Your computer will restart at least once before the update completes. Please make sure to save and close any open documents you do not wish to lose.
