To reset your voicemail PIN, follow the instructions below.

To reset your voicemail password, the following must be true:

  1. This phone number is assigned to your NetID
  2. You only have one extension number

If you don't meet these criteria, or if you have difficulty resetting your voicemail pin, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 518-442-3700 or submit a Service Desk Request.


If you are off-campus, you need to connect using VPN GlobalProtect Service to access this service.

  1. Navigate to the Voicemail portal: 
  2. Log in with your NetID and Password.

  3. Click on Messaging Assistant:
    Menu in the voicemail portal, including Messaging Assistant and Web Inbox, with full descriptions (which are in the web pages)

  4. Click on Passwords
  5. Click on Change PIN
  6. Enter and confirm the new PIN and click Save

    PIN needs to be at least 6 digits, but can be more
