If you would like to use content that is already in Ensemble, you'll need to coordinate with the person who has the content.  For example, say you know that your colleague has a video in her Media Library that you wish to use in your course.  You first need to add her Media Library as a Shared Library and then communicate with your colleague to publish or copy the file to your Media Library.

Add your colleague’s Media Library as a Share Library.

  1. From your Media Library menu, click Administration > Library > Sharing

     view image...

  2. Click Add

  3. Select an Organization (this is the department/school of your colleague)
  4. Search by name or select a Library from that Organization
  5. Click Add to My Shares

At this stage, your colleague will be able to publish files to your library which you can add to a Playlist and/or embed within Blackboard.
This is NOT a copy of the file.

  6. Click Copy to enable your colleague to copy their files into your Media Library.
  7. Click Transfer to enable your colleague to upload files directly to your Media Library.

Once you have added a Shared Library, coordinate with your colleague to share their files in one of three ways:

Publish videos to your Media Library

  2. Under Shared Libraries, click the checkbox for the destination Media Library.

Note:  This is NOT a copy of the file.  Should the source file that resides in the home media library be deleted, the item shared will also be deleted.
