Integrated collaboration suites used to facilitate interactions between individuals and work groups as they create, share, and exchange information.  Includes services such as email, calendaring, productivity suites, file sharing, instant messaging tools, and web-based collaborative platforms used strictly for collaboration. 

Add-in Requests

Tools like Microsoft Teams and Office 365 allow for 3rd party add-ins to enhance their functionality and integrate other tools.

Collecting Form Data

ITS offers Microsoft Forms and Wiki Forms for creating web forms. These options are suitable for collecting certain types of data via informal surveys not subject to IRB review

File Storage

ITS provides file storage solutions for the University that are appropriate for storing your work-related data and files.  

Microsoft 365 Apps Subscription License

UAlbany faculty, staff and students are entitled to a subscription license for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (formerly called Office 365 ProPlus) at no charge.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings conversations, content, and apps together in one place, so your team has easy access to all the tools they need to work effectively. Share files, edit documents, take notes, schedule meetings, chat with the group all right in Teams.  

Research Collaboration Platform

The Division of Research has created an invite-only Research Collaboration Platform community site.

Wikis @ UAlbany

A wiki is a website that allows multiple users to add and edit content. Wiki spaces are intended to support University-related activities and are available upon request to faculty/staff.
