Faculty members and Distance Patrons can use the request feature in Primo to request that an item be sent to their office via intercampus mail or their home address.  If an item has been requested for personal delivery, Alma will print a Transfer to Office Delivery or Transfer to Home Delivery slip upon check-in. For office deliveries, the slip will include the patron's name and work address.

Office Delivery:

  1. Return the item at the Personal Delivery Circulation Desk in Alma
    1. A window will pop up that says The item’s destination is: PATRON NAME : Work Address
      1. At this point, the item has been checked out to the patron
        1. A Personal Delivery Notice will print from the receipt printer
  2. Place item in a new envelope, write the patron's name and campus address on envelope, and place item in an intercampus mail bin next to staff mailboxes in LI-119

**Helpful Tip** ----> You can cut the patron's name and office address off of the transfer slip and tape it on the envelope using the clear packing tape in LI-125, instead of handwriting the information <---

Home Delivery:

  1. Return the item at the Resource Sharing Circulation Desk in Alma
    1. A window will pop up that says The item’s destination is: PATRON NAME : Home Address
      1. At this point, the item has been checked out to the patron
        1. A Personal Delivery Notice will print from the receipt printer
  2. Open ILLiad and search for the patron's name under Name in the Search Users box
    1. Click the Print User button
      1. An address label will print that says UPS (#1) - DISTANCE
        1. Place the slip in the middle of the book and leave on the outgoing mail truck

Resource Sharing and Office Delivery

If you are processing incoming Alma Borrowing requests and you notice that a Transfer to University, Science, or Dewey Library slip does not print out, it is likely an office or  home delivery. A Personal Delivery Notice receipt should print in LI-125.

Check beneath the Received Items form ot the Completed Request list to see if the item gives a destination of Work/Home Address (instead of one of the libraries).

If so, it has already been checked out to the patron and you just need to follow Office/Home Delivery step 2 above.
